{"id":5333,"date":"2026-07-30T13:49:07","date_gmt":"2026-07-30T13:49:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/help.archipad.com\/?post_type=kb-article&#038;p=5333"},"modified":"2026-07-30T13:52:04","modified_gmt":"2026-07-30T13:52:04","slug":"create-an-observation","status":"publish","type":"kb-article","link":"https:\/\/help.archipad.com\/en\/articles\/create-an-observation\/","title":{"rendered":"Create an observation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Available on:<\/strong> \ud83c\udf10 Archipad Web \u2022 \ud83d\udcf1 Archipad iOS<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Observations allow you to flag work to be completed or punch list items on a project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can create an observation:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>during a site visit<\/strong>, to track issues identified during a site meeting or handover;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>outside of a site visit<\/strong>, to record an observation at any time on the project.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then comes the procedure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Create an observation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open the project.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open a site visit or create an observation outside of a visit.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the relevant drawing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>+ Observation<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click at the desired location on the drawing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter the observation details.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">To know<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No field is mandatory. However, at least one piece of information must be entered before leaving the drawing. Empty observations are automatically deleted.
